This notification is to inform you that asbestos-containing materials (ACM) have been identified in A+ Childrens Academy.

Locations of ACM:

For specific locations of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) within the school, please refer to the physical copy of the Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) on-site or access the digital copy of the plan at https://apcacad.org/annual-asbestos-notification/ These resources provide detailed information on ACM locations.

Purpose of Notification:

Prevent Accidental Disturbance: It is imperative that your work activities do not disturb any ACM. Disturbance can lead to the release of Asbestos fibers, potentially causing exposure to the building’s occupants and contamination of the building environment.

Ensure Safe Work Practices:

• Personnel must be authorized to disturb asbestos-containing materials. Labels are affixed near asbestos-containing materials located in non-public mechanical areas. The lack of a label does not demonstrate that the material does not contain asbestos.
• If you suspect a material may contain asbestos, contact the school’s Designated Person. The contact information for the Designated Person is found in the Asbestos Management Plan.
